Hi, I'm Melisse Hinkle and this is your UPI Entertainment Update on this 15th day of May, 2008.
Angelina Jolie will add two new babies to her family this summer. The actress has confirmed that she's having twins. But it was Jack Black, not Jolie, who first broke the news. The two stars were in an interview together at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, when Black reportedly said to Jolie, you'll have "as many as the Brady Bunch when you have these." Jolie then acknowledged that she is, in fact, pregnant with twins. The actress is reportedly due on August 19.
Anne Heche is getting a temporary break from her child support payments. Now that "Men in Trees" has been cancelled, the actress reportedly claims she can't afford the nearly $15,000 she's been handing over to ex-husband Coley Laffoon on a monthly basis. A judge is giving Heche a break for the month of July. The actress apparently had less than $35,000 in all of her bank accounts on Tuesday. That's according to an E! News report.
Only two competitors remain in the quest for the next 'American Idol.' Syesha Mercado was eliminated last night, leaving David Cook and David Archuleta to battle it out for the title. Mercado thanked her fans on Wednesday's show before singing her farewell song, a cover of the Alicia Keys ballad, "If I Ain't Got You." Judge Simon Cowell commented on next week's finale saying, "We're going to have a real humdinger."
Tony award nominees stepped out for a luncheon in New York on Wednesday. "Macbeth" co-stars Patrick Stewart and Kate Fleetwood, "Passing Strange" actor and composer Stew and "Thurgood" actor Laurence Fishburne all showed up at the Hilton Hotel for the event. Actress Patti LuPone was also on hand, celebrating a 'Best Actress' nomination for her work in the musical "Gypsy."
Meanwhile, members of the film industry are pouring into France for the Cannes Film Festival. The jury arrived yesterday for the opening ceremony and first screening. Jury president Sean Penn and jury member Natalie Portman both made entrances. Other arrivals include Cate Blanchett, Eva Longoria-Parker and Dennis Hopper.
That's it for now. Go to UPI.com for all the day's news...and have a great day.

Behind the scenes at the launch of the LZR Racer Suit launch, London. From DesignMagazin.
Speedo launches the world's fastest swim suit which has been tested at NASA to prove it's superiority in the pool.
The LZR ("Laser") RACER suit, tested in wind tunnels used by NASA to test the aerodynamic qualities of space shuttles, makes elite swimmers 5% more efficient in their oxygen intake so it is 'easier' for them to swim faster for longer .
Test performances have led experts to believe the new suit will help swimmers shave valuable seconds off their times, which athletes are confident will result in more medals being won and more world records being broken by Speedo swimmers this year.
The suit works by reducing the friction (or 'drag') that slows a swimmer down. Since the properties of water can not be changed, the goal is to make the swimmer's body as smooth and streamlined as possible.
Developed over the past three years, the LZR RACER is made from an ultra light-weight fabric that actually repels water. It is ultrasonically welded together to form the world's first fully bonded suit, cutting down friction even further.
By scanning more than 400 elite athletes including Michael Phelps (US) and Grant Hackett (Aus), the R&D team were able to place laser-cut ultra low-friction 'panels' specifically on those areas, which, along with the suit's corset-like compression, makes each individual swimmer as hydrodynamic as they can be.
This means that each swimmer is held in the optimum shape and position to cut through the water in the most effective way, therefore saving them valuable energy which they can then use to swim faster!
In tests the new suit reduced passive drag (the position a swimmer is in following a dive or a turn) by 10% compared to the Speedo suit worn in Athens in 2004. It also reduced skin friction or 'surface drag' (i.e. when the swimmer is on top of the water), by a massive 24% compared to the Speedo FASTSKIN (2000) and 38% more than standard Lycra.
The results led World Record holder, Libby Lenton (Aus), to describe the experience as being "like swimming down hill"!
Kylie Minogue's White Diamond A new Kylie documentary is unstinting in it's bland . Kylie shows her pearly whites and a Dolce Gabbana Dress as she arrives at the premiere in Leicester Square... The world premiere of Kylie Minogue's White Diamond - "An intimate portrait of Kylie Minogue" -- and around 1000 people line the red carpet at Leicester Square, waiting for her arrival. The crowd includes two drag queens, wearing gigantic pink and white ostrich feather head-dresses, which slowly turn into damp rats tails in the rain outside Burger King.
Even in the rain, however, they are still more glamourous than celebrity guest Rupert Everett, who turns up in a greasy pair of tracksuit bottoms and three inches of stubble, looking as if his taxi was booked to pick him up from a bin. Next to Kylie -- arriving to screams and cheers and luminous in, of course, white diamonds -- he looks like a tramp. He looks puzzlingly, fundamentally unsuited to the dazzle and sequin of a Kylie Minogue event.
Filmed between August 2006 and March 2007, White Diamond follows Kylie on her resurrected "Showgirl" tour -- originally abandoned halfway through, in Sydney, when she was diagnosed with breast-cancer. White Diamond aims to show her "Home coming" -- the reactivation of the Showgirl tour, which was reworked to be "Light, joyful and fun, as always; but that means something much deeper, now given the context," as choreographer Akram Khan explains...
